Lava Row uses word of mouth to get a new slogan

When Iowa-based Lava Row, a social media consulting firm, decided to get rid of their old business cards in favor of a new slogan, they asked their fans for help.

They hosted a local TweetUp meeting where employees handed out their old cards and asked their friends and fans to come up with a new slogan for Lava Row, write it on the old card, and upload a picture of it to Flickr or TwitPic.

The idea is a perfect, simple way to a) Get your fans involved and b) Get them posting photos and talking about you online.

The Lesson: Ask your fans to help you come up with a new slogan, and ask them to do it in a very public way.
