If you’ve ever eaten at a Houlihan‘s, you may have noticed the music they play is different than the stuff everyone else is playing.
That’s because in each of their 83 restaurants around the country, they hand-pick the music you hear. They seek out unknown artists and feature them alongside more famous acts in what’s called their “H-List.”
They also feature these H-List artists on their website, their social media channels, and their email marketing campaigns — and it all adds up to more than a million impressions for these up-and-coming musicians.
And more than just a trendy marketing stunt, Houlihan’s has donated more than $150,000 to the VHI Save the Music Foundation. They actually care about music, and it shows.
This whole program wins on a lot of levels:
- Houlihan’s creates relationships with bands and their fans (they can be fantastic talkers)
- Customers of Houlihans get a unique dining experience (the music is different and it’s worth sharing)
- Everyone has an awesome reason to talk about Houlihan’s (what a cool project!)
