Why this is a remarkable idea: Schools are great word of mouth engines.

Schools will tell their students, the students will tell their parents, and their parents will tell everyone else that their kid will be performing in front of an entire arena. That’s a lot of word of mouth spread in the community the Iowa Wild hockey team is trying to reach.

Sometimes the stuff people will tell their friends about isn’t the coolest or most entertaining stuff — it’s about the things that matter more to them.
