Volkswagen has always been one of those companies that loves to share its personality with the world. They’re legendary for being “different,” and they didn’t disappoint at the latest auto show here in Chicago.
Most booths had a few onlookers quietly checking out the cars — and a couple of brands took it a bit further with a host describing the new lineup with a heavily-rehearsed script. But the Volkswagen booth was a party, and it all centered around Caraoke, which invited visitors to sit in a VW and sing their favorite tunes. The performances were broadcast on a big screen in the booth as well as recorded and posted to YouTube.
The whole thing was a big hit, with a bunch of people participating, taking photos, and telling their friends to check them out on VW’s Caraoke website (and give their performance a good rating).
