talentgrow-seedsLet’s be honest. Most holiday gifts are lame. (Like you need another basket of fruit or a card that has a generic “Happy Holidays” on it.)

I’d rather skip it.

If you’re going to do something, do something “remarkable” and do something that tells a story.

And do something that reinforces the core idea of your brand.

Well, Halelly Azulay of TalentGrow sent me one of the best holiday gifts I’ve ever received. Keep in mind, the story of her company is that she grows talent. Makes sense, right?

So, she sent a nice, branded card, a small packet talking about her services with some testimonials, (so far, OK) and then she sends some “Seed Bombs.”

They are little seed balls (honestly, I thought they were chocolate at first), but when you open the bag, you see that you are supposed to just throw them outside and they will grow into flowers. You don’t even need to plant them — you just bomb your lawn.

Brilliant! I can’t wait to give them to my kids to throw them outside.

I LOVE the fact that I’ve been thinking about them for three days now, and I am going crazy about how perfect the alignment is between the gift and her core idea.
