Video: How to get great reviews, by Ian Strain-Seymour

Outstanding customer reviews are a great way to establish authenticity and trustworthiness for your business.

But how do you get reviews? Well, for starters, just ask. One of the most common mistakes in word of mouth marketing is forgetting to ask customers to leave a review. From there, try a couple other techniques that will remind your fans to share their thoughts: follow-up calls, emails, feedback forms, and surveys.

In the video below, Bazaarvoice’s Client Partner & Social Commerce Strategist, Ian Strain-Seymour, dives deep into this question. He teaches an entire class on how to get your fans to post more and better reviews about your business, product, or organization. He also shares a bunch of examples of how you can ask your customers to share their feedback and offers tips on how to promote your best reviews.

In his presentation, Ian covers:

  • How to incorporate feedback links in all of your online properties
  • How to get a boost in daily reviews using a sweepstakes
  • How to connect offline reviews online
