Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Social Media Manager Crystal King says that when she tells people she works for Keurig, they almost always have a story to tell her about their own coffee maker. She explains that these stories are what have made them the number one coffee maker brand.

In her presentation at SocialMedia.org’s BlogWell conference, Crystal shares how their social team encourages love stories from their fans, surprises and delights customers, and turns around negative word of mouth. She even explains how their social media strategies save them money on traditional customer service and marketing.

Some more interesting stuff from her presentation:

  • Why they give away tons of their brewers
  • How they turned an entire neighborhood into advocates
  • How they became one of Boston Business Journal’s Top 10 Most Social-Savvy Organizations
