Word of Mouth Tip 114: Ask fans to help make your stuff better

Ask your fans for their input, advice, opinions, preferences, feedback, and ideas.

Not only will you learn something, you’ll also make them feel important. When the brands we love ask for our help, we feel valued and we tell people about it.

Potbelly is great at this — they’re always inviting fans to try new sandwiches and share their feedback. Here’s a recent email they sent:

Hi Friend of Potbelly,

Do you order the Grilled Chicken & Cheddar Sandwich at Potbelly?  If you do, we invite you to participate in one of our upcoming taste tests.

We are hosting 3 Grilled Chicken & Cheddar Sandwich taste tests in the next few weeks.  For the taste test we ask for about 10 minutes of your time to eat the sandwich and complete a survey at one of 3 Potbelly locations in and around downtown Chicago.  Not only will we feed you, but we will also reward you with a free sandwich ticket to be used at any Potbelly Sandwich Shop.
